In a recent Guardian article, Beyonce said that her sister Solange turned her on to Of Montreal and it’s got her thinking some interesting thoughts…

Guardian: Is there anyone left you’d still like to record with?

Oh, where do I begin? There’s so many people I’d like to work with still, but I’d like to maybe go outside of the box. My sister [Solange] has put me on to bands like [indie group] Of Montreal and some other different types of artists. I would love to do something like that on my next album.

Finally, a record my girlfriend and I can both rank as our Album of the Year! Even if there’s no Kevin Barnes on the record, I’d still be interested to hear an Of Montreal-sounding record with Beyonce’s vocals. And of course, Of Montreal have already enlisted Jon Brion to help with their next LP, so it looks like there’s no shortage of guests on the horizon.
