[MP3] Thee American Revolution: “Electric Flame” // show Friday in Lexington
November 18th, 2009 by Matt

Robert Schneider of the Apples in Stereo always has a lot going on. Whether it’s his children’s music alter ego Robbert Bobbert, co-running Garden Gate Records or just playing with old friends, he’s always got something to keep himself (and his fans) occupied. Now his latest creation is finally finished; you can pick up Thee American Revolution’s Buddah Electrostorm at CD Central or other independent retailers.
MP3: Thee American Revolution – Electric Flame
Thee American Revolution is, first and foremost, Robert’s garage rock side project. The first time I saw them play (my 20th birthday), I came away thinking that this was basically Robert playing Guitar Hero in public. But there’s a lot of great songwriting buried amid the guitar. “Electric Flame” sounds like it was pulled off Her Wallpaper Reverie and re-recorded after watching a documentary about 60s garage/psych rock.
Thee American Revolution will be playing a show this Friday in Lexington with Big Fresh and Lamminated Cat — the other two bands on Garden Gate Records. It’s all going down at Al’s at 10pm.
