
OK. I have good news and bad news here. The good news is that I really, really enjoyed The Answering Machine’s set. They were a great addition to the fest and as one of the European groups on the bill, one that I’m not likely to see any other way.
The bad news is that I really don’t remember that much about them.
I remember it was some quick, guitar-driven songs that seemed like a grown-up version of what NME has been digging for the past six years, but really their Myspace could have told me that. However, I remember thinking as I walked away from their set that they would be the band to beat for best discovery of Monolith.
