Grizzly Bear @ Pitchfork 7.19.09
August 7th, 2009 by Matt

I’ve seen Grizzly Bear many, many times in the past few years. Each show — in addition to being a beautiful experience — has always always had a distinct personality. Grizzly Bear’s show at Pitchfork was kind of a victory lap for the band. Festivals, though great opportunities for them to thrill thousands of fans at once, are not really the best platform for Grizzly Bear. But Pitchfork was as receptive an audience as they’re likely to find and one perfect to celebrate a successful first half of the year. Not even persisting sound problems could stop them from putting on one hell of a show.

More photos after the break.
