Those Darlins have been a slow but steady burn around Lexington for a while now. A few months ago Mike at the Green Lantern was telling me to check them out. Then they played the Dame with the Features and I was assured it would be a good time by a lot of friends (had to skip it for a friend’s 21st birthday). Now their album is out, receiving a lot of WRFL air play and a lot of spins at my workplace, CD Central.
To celebrate the fact that the whole city seems to dig them, Those Darlins will be stopping by CD Central on Sunday, August 16 to perform a free in-store session. They aren’t playing any other show in town that day, so come out and enjoy a good free show!
Now it’s time to familiarize yourself with them beforehand. Run down to CD Central and grab their album or stream it on their Myspace — I suggest starting with “Wild One.”
