I wasn’t that familiar with Fucked Up’s music before Pitchfork, but decided to check them out because I had a few friends speak highly of their show — also I didn’t really have anything else to do.

Even though I don’t think my experienced will translate into a lifelong enjoyment of the band, Fucked Up were pretty fun to see live. Their lead singer, Pink Eye, is like Tim Harrington of Les Savy Fav if he dialed down the fun-loving exploration of a LSF show and spent more time in the pit. Not to say Pink Eye wasn’t “fun,” but his live show is more about throwing around smashed beer cans and biting beach balls. He bit a lot of inflatable beach balls.
