Bad Veins must’ve been pretty happy on Friday when they played Louisville’s Forecastle Festival. They have a new album coming out on an internationally known record label, they had a big crowd and they sounded great. I really dug them when I saw them a year or so ago, but they’ve even raised their game since them. They’ve dropped a bit of the laid-back, amateur charm that surrounded them at my first show, but now they seemed ready to start commanding sizable audiences at festivals. Good thing, too, since their Monolith appearance is quickly approaching.
