[VIDEO] Chairlift cover Snoop’s “Sensual Seduction”
June 20th, 2009 by Matt
Though I couldn’t find a video of them performing it at Bonnaroo, I did run across this video of Chairlift covering Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” previously. I’m a little heartbroken to know they didn’t do it specially for being on the same festival lineup as Snoop, but I’m glad more people got to experience it.

Grizzly Bear @ Bonnaroo 6.12.09
June 19th, 2009 by Matt
For many years now I’ve had the idea that Grizzly Bear would absolutely kill at Bonnaroo. It’s a slight compromise in venue setting for what has to be one of the most receptive crowds they could ever see. It’s a grouping of tens of thousands of people who are into melodic, earthy music that has [...]

Harlem sign to Matador records for LP2 in 2010
June 19th, 2009 by Matt
I was sick for a day or two. It was that kind of groggy sickness where you go in to work, but are completely useless and frankly embarrassed to be such a zombie. While recovering from it, I overlooked the fact that Matador announced the signing of Austin’s Harlem. I’ve been digging the group for [...]

Yeah Yeah Yeahs @ Bonnaroo 6.12.09

Karen says “no, thanks” to Kentucky’s David Pajo Is it wrong that the biggest thing I took away from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ show is that David Pajo is now playing with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs? I apparently missed the memo on that one. But the Yeah Yeah Yeahs looked and sounded great. I only [...]

St. Vincent @ Bonnaroo 6.12.09
June 18th, 2009 by Matt
My second time seeing Annie Clark in three days was only slightly less magical than the first. I say it was slightly less magical because, well, I didn’t get to stick around as much and it lost a bit of the awesome light-show-on-a-budget spectacle of the Dame show. But to say it went a half-step [...]

[BOOTLEG] Nine Inch Nails @ Bonnaroo 2009
June 18th, 2009 by Matt
Full Nine Inch Nails photos/review coming soon Without getting into the specifics (those I’ll save for the actual review), Nine Inch Nails’ Bonnaroo set was as bare-bones as NIN shows these days are. Sure there was a crazy light show, but it was nothing compared to the crazy screens they had last fall. But unlike [...]
