Last night I saw a fantastic performance (is there another kind?) by the Avett Brothers. I’ll be posting pictures from that soon, but now here’s an advance song from their upcoming major-label debut.

Man, when the Avett Bros want to pull your heartstrings, they pull them like few others can. Just a few lines into this song and my heart is already swelling — and I have no idea why. It’s a song about the Brothers heading north to Brooklyn and looking at how he uses his words: to love, to fight, to ask. This song has to be in a movie within two years.
