I didn’t get in to the photo pit for Phoenix (a giant shame, since I love their new record) so I had to run across Bonnaroo to get to Public Enemy. After a minute or two of being held back buy a security guard, I finally got to see/shoot the show. Unfortunately I wound up waiting in the wings longer than I was able to shoot. Halfway through my first song, all the photographers were ushered out. Bummer, I know. However, I did get to shake Flav’s hand while in there. Below is an actual conversation I had shortly after.

Friend: “How was Public Enemy?”

Me: “They sounded great, but I was only there for a song or two. I did get to shake Flav’s hand, though.”

Friend: “I hope you washed your hand after?”

Me: “Oh God…”
