I was sick for a day or two. It was that kind of groggy sickness where you go in to work, but are completely useless and frankly embarrassed to be such a zombie. While recovering from it, I overlooked the fact that Matador announced the signing of Austin’s Harlem. I’ve been digging the group for a while, but have yet to catch them live. I missed them at SXSW and they were out of town when I came in last fall. Here’s hoping this new label will give them an opportunity to bring their songs far and wide.

Harlem’s debut has already hit stores. They’re working on their second album, to be released next year on Matador.
