Stereogum just premiered this new Fiery Furnaces song that has me strangely captivated. I’m not the biggest Fiery Furnaces fan (and I’ll flip-flop in calling myself a “fan” or not), but this is a good song.

I never would have guessed that the Fiery Furnaces had it in them to do a really good 70s-sounding, slightly R&B-inspired pop piece. It’s a slowed down, everybody-pulling-toward-the-same-end song that has me greatly impressed. And if you ever find yourself in a bunker during a nuclear war with just a piano and your sibling, don’t hesitate to belt this one out.
