Last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon was pretty much a dream lineup for me. Steve Martin started things off by chatting about his new bluegrass/banjo album and what a bad dinner guest Jimmy is. Then Paul Simon jumped in to talk about his new tour and do a pre-taped skit of him and Steve pretending to have tried to form a duo in the late ’50s. Then the money shot at the end: Paul Simon sang “Late in the Evening” with the Roots and the horn section from Antibalas. I hope every person in the audience knows how lucky they were that night.
