Trent Reznor sells NIN face-time to fans to benefit friend’s heart transplant
May 21st, 2009 by Matt

Trent Reznor must have a big heart, because he’s donating a bunch of NIN backstage passes to help make sure a friend’s heart keeps on working. Eric De La Cruz needs a heart transplant, but can’t get on the list because he’s on Nevada Medicaid and there are no transplant centers in Nevada. Trent whipped up this everybody-wins idea to raise money for Eric’s fund.
For a $1000 donation, ticket holders on the NIN/JA tour can watch the band soundcheck, eat dinner with the group, get autographs/pictures and watch the show from the side stage.
There are a few more price levels and heart warming/saving details to be found here.
According to Trent’s twitter, they’ve raised $260,000 IN ONE DAY! You go, Nine Inch Nails fans!
