Tiny Fights @ Red Mile Round Barn 5.19.09

2009 has been an impressive year for Lexington bands. First I was struck dumb by how good Matt Duncan was, then Bedtime changed up their game and blew me away, now Tiny Fights have burst onto the scene as one of Lexington's best live acts. Though they sound a bit different in their studio recordings, the best reference point for Tiny Fights' live show is the electronic improv-rock of Holy Fuck. Tiny Fights use guitar/bass/sampler to achieve a similar effect as the Canadian group. Maybe the biggest testimonial to Tiny Fight's quality or skill is that they got a room full of people who probably had never heard them before to start shaking it like we were in LA. I may have been sober and taking photos, but inside I wished I was drunk and dancing. These guys made a compelling case for boogieing on down.
