Record Store Day is TODAY!

April 18th, 2009 by Matt

As you all hopefully already know, today is Record Store Day, a celebration of independent music stores and the love of music. For the vinyl-addicted among you, today is like your Christmas and for the live music-addicted, today is like your birthday. Stores all across the world are hosting free instore performances by some of the best bands out there to entertain you while you shop for some limited edition releases.

I’ll be at CD Central for most of today, working and enjoying music in the sun. Stop by and say hey if you’re in Lexington. We’ve got a great lineup of music and sales and all that good stuff. Plus, you know you’re looking forward to that limited My Morning Jacket/Sonic Youth/Grizzly Bear vinyl…

CD Central Record Store Day set times
12 pm: The Butchers
1 pm: Robert Schneider of the Apples in Stereo (solo acoustic)
2 pm: Special guest DJs
3 pm: Chico Fellini
4 pm: The Sundresses (from Cincinnati)
5 pm: Ben Sollee
6 pm: Attempt
