OK. Let’s get this started with our grain of salt: Russell Brand told me this over Twitter. So this isn’t coming from the studio’s press agent or anything. But hey, one more reason to get excited for a sweet movie, right?

Today I saw that Russell Brand was on twitter and in a talkative mood. He answered a few questions about his upcoming film Get Him to the Greek — the spin-off Forgetting Sarah Marshall’s breakout character, rock star Aldous Snow. Knowing Brand is buddies with the Gallagher brothers of Oasis, I twittered him and asked if there was any chance that they would be making an appearance in the rock star comedy. Surprisingly, he answered the affirmative:

Now, he could be goofing and he could be thinking wishfully, but who knows. I’m already excited for the film and a goofy Gallagher cameo is just one more reason to look forward to it. Here’s hoping.
