Jason Lytle was really great at day two of our Hot Freaks! party at SXSW. I don’t believe I’ve ever listened to a Grandaddy album or any of his solo work, but I really enjoyed his set at SXSW. The people I was standing by were kind of curious why it wasn’t just billed as “Grandaddy,” since all the major players from that band were on stage. But hey, it doesn’t make any difference to me as long as it’s good.
