Maggot Brain Real sildenafil citrate online, covers pretty much every sub-section to the funk genre. Dig Sly and Family Stone. Toss on "Can You Get To That" (hell, I'm pretty sure it was even in a commercial -- a sure sign of achieving the vibe Sly oozes, real sildenafil citrate online. After all, what makes people want to spend money more than upbeat songs like "Everyday People?"). Real sildenafil citrate online, Love early-70s Stevie Wonder. Funkadelic predates it and arguably equals most of it with "Hit It And Quit It." "You and Your Folks, Me and My Folks" takes care of Betty Davis. Just flat-out dig drugs and a guitar solo so heavy you're pretty sure it's why the word "heavy" was borrowed to mean deep, real sildenafil citrate online. Duh. Real sildenafil citrate online, Title track. George Clinton told Eddie Hazel to play like his mother had just died when he let him loose to record the 10-minute guitar solo.
Maggot Brain is also one of those albums where my favorite song is completely determined by my mood -- and even then is still seemingly random, real sildenafil citrate online. Last year my hands-down favorite was "Hit It and Quit It." This was largely due to the fact that My Morning Jacket introduced me to the album via a cover of this song at Bonnaroo. Real sildenafil citrate online, Hard not to hold it as a favorite when you had it blasted into your face in concert by one of America's best live rock bands. But lately I've found myself leaning towards the king rocker on Maggot Brain: "Super Stupid."
MP3: Funkadelic - Super Stupid
I wonder more and more why people jump from being Jimi Hendrix to being Stevie Ray Vaughan fans. I mean, it's a really easy move to make. The problem is that the move isn't forward or even lateral -- it's backwards. I won't lie to you, nine times out of ten I'd rather listen to pretty much anything other than SRV. The problem isn't just that he's boring and derivative, it's that it just reminds me that there are so many people out there who do what he does better. People like Eddie Hazel of Funkadelic, who turns in a guitar track so wild that it makes me briefly consider filing Maggot Brain in the rock section on the basis that these four minute rock harder than most other artists kept there. It manages to touch the same sky that Hendrix kissed, and is probably only remembered less because of the song's wild nature. Though Hendrix went nuts on quite a few songs, there was always a great chorus or title phrase sprinkled in to give you a reminder what song you were hearing. Honestly I've listened to "Super Stupid" dozens of times and can barely remember what few lyrics there are. In an album full of social and personal insights, "Super Stupid" is the one song where I really just want to kick back and marvel at Hazel's guitar tone and playing ability.
Go buy Maggot Brain and get ready to enjoy spring to the fullest extent.
