Last, and coincidentally first, time I posted on Harlem, Chris was thrilled I’d finally been hipped to one of his favorite Austin bands. Well if I took a month or two to catch on, I’m making a little progress because I’m only about half a day behind on this MP3.

MP3: Harlem – Come Back Jonee
Harlem have been doing a series of lo-fi covers for internet release. I’m not familiar with the original version of “Come Back Jonee” by Devo, but this is a great version no matter how you slice it. It’s part haunting pop, part 50s cowboy and part hipster (hence GvB’s shout to Wes Anderson).

Harlem will be playing all over SXSW, so I’m sure it won’t be hard to catch them if you try. (Like, at our party!)
