Thanks to the folks at Giggling Ostritch for emailing me this video of Blitzen Trapper covering “Cocaine Blues” by Reverend Gary Davis — not the one by Johnny Cash.

My love for Blitzen Trapper started with Wild Mountain Nation, but it’s really grown a lot in the past year. Furr helped, but it’s the little stuff like this that proves this is a band that’ll be staying around for quite some time. Now if they’d just tour anywhere near me in the near future…
