So if you’re a crafty kid, you’re aware that the new Bishop Allen album Grr… has already leaked to the internets. I’ve been soaking it in for a while now and can confidently say that I love it. Once I sat down and listened to it start to finish, focusing on the words, I decided that I’m probably happier with how this one turned out than The Broken String.

I’ll write more on the record after I get a second to interview the band, but until then, here’s a live video of Bishop Allen playing the new song “Oklahoma” in Chicago. “Oklahoma” is probably my favorite track on the new record, offering up something new upon each listen. You unfortunately can’t really hear the guitar riff in this version, but that’s all the more reason to look forward to the final album. Watch the rest of the concert here.

Grr… is out March 10 on Dead Oceans. Bishop Allen will be touring through the spring and hitting up SXSW.
