I haven’t been posting most of Ruby Isle’s latest covers in their Elbo.ws covers project because, frankly, I didn’t like any of the new ones. However, they finally grabbed me again with this complete 180 take on the Decemberists’ “The Rake’s Song.” It’s like MGMT, but weirder because of the source material.
