Man, this new Dark Was the Night compilation is just awesome. Everything I’ve heard from it so far has been amazing, including this new National song (arranged by Nico Muhly) that they’ve been playing live for a while.

Gotta love the music fanboy ribbing in there too: “…pray for Pavement to get back together.” I’ve spent the past year or so warming up to the National and this song really goes a long way to heat up my heart even more.
