I just watched Sukiyaki Western Django, so this is a suitable band to post. The movie was great and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes spaghetti westerns and Quentin Tarantino (though, ironically, he’s horrible in his bit part in this film). Django James… well I still haven’t completely made my mind up about them.

Django James & the Midnight Squires are a pretty good sounding young band, but they have the misfortune of being from LA. As a small town guy, I’ve got an innate distrust of bands that look and feel a little too slick. However, “Hurricane” is a solid song; so maybe it’s time to put aside my distrust and just enjoy it. And chalk this band up as another that NME would love to get their hands upon.
