If it’s Christmas at You Ain’t No Picasso, that means it’s Mixmas! These twelve days give me a chance to turn You Ain’t No Picasso over to the musicians I cover and allow them to showcase some of their favorite songs through a themed mix. This is the fourth year of Mixmas; here’s hoping for many more.

The Bicycles put out one of my favorite albums of 2006 then completely snuck a release up on me this year. Oh No, It’s Love is fantastic and only makes me more upset that they’re not a widely-recognized indie pop outfit. But hey, I’ll always be able to enjoy their albums and force them upon other people (that’d be you). Easily the sweetest ode to large ladies on this list. We learn that the singer, himself chunky, needs the kind of understanding and sympathy that only a fellow chubster can provide.

Hefner – Fat Kelly’s Teeth
What to do when stuck on the treadmill hell of touring life and your woman at home is being a cold, heartless bitch? According to the singer, get shitfaced and hook up the nearest fat girl. He mentions her teeth because they’re pretty gappy and distract him from looking at her body. Poor Kelly.

Yeah, you know this song. Bon Scott’s first time with a big woman. He likes it a whole lotta.

Has a bunch of funny lines. “I met her on monday / T’was my lucky bun-day”. I always liked that one the best. So dumb.

Gordie wishes his ex-lover has gotten really really fat. Not out of spite, but he sees this as his only chance of getting her back. She won’t be able to get any other man. Gordon won’t mind a little extra weight. He thinks that the ex is pretty much guaranteed to pull off that look. Good luck to you sir.
