I’ve been to a lot of shows this week and the thing I’m most thankful for is good openers. One for the Team opened for the High Water Marks and Dressy Bessy and did a great job. I think they would have probably been more suited to play with Mates of State tonight at the Dame, but with this kind of solid pop music, you really can’t go wrong opening for anybody who loves melody.

Fans of Headlights, Tilly and the Wall or Mates of State should immediately download this MP3 and buy One for the Team’s album. I haven’t heard the full album, but their entire set was really solid. I just happened to ask the lead girl the name of this song because it sounded great live and was like the next-to-last one in their set. Also I give them tons of credit for cranking up the fuzz a bit just before the two minute mark.
