Oh man. I’ve been enjoying Kentucky’s unseasonably warm weather, but this sight might beat even our bluest of skies. Here’s Stephen Malkmus and Blitzen Trapper teaming up to tackle James Gang’s “Funk 49″ live in concert. The vocals are a little hard to hear over all that funk, but Malkmus’ kicks more than make up for it.

Maybe they’ll pull a Wilco/Fleet Foxes and release an MP3? Unlikely, but it’s one of the few things that could make this even better.
