What with the Elephant 6 Holiday Surprise tour coming up on Thursday, I’ve kind of got E6 on the brain. What luck, then, that Vic Chesnutt and Elf Power’s collaborative work Dark Developments should land on my desk? The album is very clearly lead by Chesnutt’s songwriting, but that only opens up more doors for me. I’m not that familiar with his work and will confess to being lead into it blindly on the strength of Elf Power’s involvement. But the album, even when less than amazing, is nothing but fun. I had a hard time picking a favorite to post, but I’m happy with my choice. Enjoy.

Speaking of dogs, /Film has the first four minutes of Disney’s new animated film Bolt. Call me crazy, but I’m actually looking forward to it.
Yeah, Jeff and Julian played “Engine” in Pittsburgh. And to answer everyone who keeps asking me: I doubt it’ll be happening in Lexington this Thursday, but who knows?
