Chris Rock at Bonnaroo 2008
Just thought I’d take a second to say if you haven’t seen Chris Rock’s new HBO special “Kill the Messenger,” do yourself a favor and seek it out. The special has a ton of stuff he did at Bonnaroo, so that’s an added bonus for anyone who saw him warm the stage for his buddies Metallica.
Literally the only bad thing I can say about Kill the Messenger is that it cuts back and forth between three shows — London, Johannesburg and NYC — often in the middle of a joke. The cuts are seamless when it comes to the audio, but it’s a bit weird to see him change from a suit to a jacket mid-sentence.
But like I said, that’s literally all the bad stuff I can say about it. It’s hilarious. Hit up the torrents, DVR or whatever you need to do. It’s a must watch before the election.
If you know Barack Obama, they are tapping your phones. That’s where John McCain has the advantage — all his friends are dead!
