Justice @ Monolith 9.14.08
September 21st, 2008 by Matt

I’ve got to say that, while I’m super thrilled to have seen Justice, Red Rocks had to be the weirdest place you could see that band. I mean, short of a concert hall, it’s the about the least fitting. Beautiful, but not terribly fitting.
But even the steep incline and the stadium seating couldn’t stop the Monolith crowd from d.a.n.c.e.-ing to Justice. I was worried that their set would be a little too close to the album, but they do almost as good of a job as Daft Punk at chopping up their own songs.
Sadly their sound got cut two songs into the set. Maybe they blew a fuse, who knows. Lots of jokes were passed around in the photo pit: “I guess someone hit pause on the CD” and “I’ve never seen anyone take an encore break after two songs” were two of my favorites… The sound got turned back on shortly thereafter and they brought out the big guns, “D.A.N.C.E.”
