One person in our party had a few unkind words to say about Vampire Weekend’s performance. I pointed out that you can’t really expect them to be great performers like an arena band; they’re really just an indie pop group that happened to get wildly popular. And as far as indie pop performers go, they’re just about the top of the heap.
They also trotted out two new songs in addition to the ones on their hit record. Even though the new ones are months old, it’s still nice to know that they’re thinking about the future.
