Spoon @ Pitchfork 7.20.08
July 28th, 2008 by Matt

Spoon aren’t the best indie rock band out there, but they might be the most consistent. Their last couple albums have all been classic stuff that classic bands are made of. And after having seen them four or five times now, I can say that the same goes for their live shows. Each one is strong, fast and packed with great songs.
MP3: Spoon – The Underdog
The first best thing about Spoon’s set at Pitchfork was that the brought out the horns. The quartet punched up Spoon classics like “Stay, Don’t Go” and new hits like “The Underdog” with their brassy love. It did draw attention from Britt’s awesome guitar work at times, but it was still a very welcome addition.
