Titus Andronicus @ Pitchfork 7.19.08
July 20th, 2008 by Matt

I got to Pitchfork right on time to catch Titus Andronicus and, unfortunately, right in time for the first rain of the day. I didn’t know anything about them going into it other than my friend Geoff went immediately from the gate to get a good spot for them, which was good enough to get me interested.
After a really quick sound check, the lead singer stared things off by playing the first verse and chorus to Pulp’s “Common People,” a nod to Jarvis Cocker, who played later that day. After the chorus, the band jumped in and the song turned into one of their own. They were fun, they were into it and because of that, so was I.
