I wish my days would start like this. Ponytail are a non-stop energetic mess in the best sense of the world. If you brought together Deerhoof, the Grates and a few of the Go! Team to record together, this is probably where you’d wind up. It almost completely abandons traditional pop structures in favor of just having a good time. It’s like if acid pop bands were writing like the post rock kids do.
