On a complete hunch I decided to check out the Starlight Mints’ web site today. They’ve been putting out a record every three years and I was hoping to hear some news about recording for an ‘09 release date. What I got instead is sort of a mixed bag of happiness.
“Monsterostrophy” is an unreleased track that they’re currently streaming. As far as I can tell it’s all new, but it sounds like there are chopped up bits from old songs occasionally flitting in and making it sort of a nostalgic new track. I’m sure there are bigger Starlight Mints fans out there, so feel free to set me straight on this new song — and drop in any new album info if there is any.
