I’ve teetered on the verge of being a real Fiery Furnaces “fan” for a long while now and I feel that this could be the year that I make the leap. Bonnaroo was my third time seeing them and it felt like a good mix between the two previous shows. Their current touring guitarist absolutely rocked it out and Eleanor did a great job upping her performance skills. Last time I saw her she seemed a bit shy on stage (she was apparently sick) and this time she seemed far more confident this go-around. Still, I can’t help but wish that Matthew would step up to the plate a bit more and share the spotlight with his sister.
