My Friday the 13th started off with a spookily good set by Drive-By Truckers. Their fans were in front and totally prepared, often screaming out “Patterson! Play (insert song here).” I’ve always enjoyed their albums when I’ve heard them in passing, but seeing them at Bonnaroo made me think that I should probably pick up a few and study them with the kind of intensity that I normally reserve for bizzarro indie-pop records.
