My favorite thing about the Features is that I don’t have a favorite song by them. After any song I hear, I’m convinced that that is their best song. Nearly every song on their full length Exhibit A is a jaw-dropping, butt-shaking massacre of music. Their two other EPs preceding and following it? Just as great. So every time I see them, I’m convinced that the last song they played is their best song and that there’s no way they have anything left in their discography to top it. Wrong. They’re just that great.

Kentucky’s been wildly hot as of late, so when I got to the Dame, I wasn’t surprised to find that it was a sweaty, soggy mess. Strangely, it only made for a better experience. The band played a few new songs songs from their upcoming record (more on that on a later post) and my favorite live song of theirs, “Thursday.”
