Thanks to Papa Dodge for pointing me to this Lykke Li remix by the Black Kids. She’s an absolute darling that I’ve, lamentably, not paid much attention to here on YANP. But her EP is great and only makes it hurt more that I didn’t catch her at our SXSW Hot Freaks! event.

You’ve really got to love how the frantic guitar in the left channel makes the occasional bass licks that slide in work as a perfect compliment. Of course if you’re listening to this on the dancefloor instead of at your computer, you’d also find yourself with plenty to enjoy. That same bass line from before makes a thunderous return to couple with the steady beat to turn this song into any DJ’s secret weapon.
