Is it just me or is MGMT pretty much the most remixed band ever? Their record Oracular Spectacular has only been out for a few months and they’re already getting the treatment from tons of remix artists and DJs. Well here’s arguably the best remix that I’ve heard so far. Amplive (who you probably remember for remixing Radiohead’s In Rainbows or for DJing our Hot Freaks! party) remixed the track and tapped San Fran’s Mistah Fab to lay down some verse over top of it.

Though it’s not the best rhyme in the song, I have to admit that I’m drawn to the fun present in the line: “I’m Mistah Fab, man, look me up. / MGMT, come on and hook me up.” Mistah Fab rocks out and seems to be having fun with it. He (like my favorite rapper of the moment, Wale) takes time to poke fun at the lack of passion in most modern hip-hop.
