Chris over at Gorilla vs Bear just posted this MP3 for Ratatat’s new song “Shiller.” It’s a 7″ that I got in the mail the other day and immediately was depressed that my turntable was broken. Now through the magic of 0s and 1s I can hear it in all its glory! Oh happy day!

Remember Ratatat’s debut? Yeah, this is a world apart from that. While my friends and I spent nearly an hour laughing at the beginning of “Seventeen Years” and doing clunky teenage versions of the robot to the rest of it, this is a far cry from the debut’s familiar crunch. Instead Ratatat have expanded their repertoire to include this spaced-out psych jam. If Mozart were born in the year 3000, this would be his finest waltz.

Chris posted Ratatat’s remix of Biggie’s “Party and Bullshit,” but I think I’ll go with a weirder reworking.
