Busdriver’s taking a break from recording his new record to do a series of tour dates taking him all over the US. But more importantly he’s also sharing a new song, “Ellen Disingenuous,” with us. The song may or may not make the new record, but is apparently a good example of what the album will sound like.

I was initially a little “meh” about the production on “Ellen Disingenuous,” but it’s growing on me with each listen. Still I think it’s probably a step back from Roadkillovercoat. Thankfully Busdriver picks up the slack with his rapid-fire delivery. I’m three listens in and still have only caught a few phrases outside of the chorus. It’s like a rap song plus a tongue twister!
