I’d love to start this by saying “as a former fencer…” but I don’t think that’s entirely fair to either of us. I dabbled in fencing for a bit (taught by the fantastic old french man Andre Beaugrand), but was never very good at it. However, I have been fascinated by it for a long time. Plus I’ve always wanted to photograph a fencing exhibition, so it was even more fun.
