I haven’t heard from the Submarines in quite a while. I liked their last album Declare a New State, but had kind of lost track of them in the past year. Luckily they managed to find me. I got their new album Honeysuckle Weeks in the mail (and they’re advertising in my sidebar, I noticed) and think it’s pretty spiffy.

Is Scrubs still in production? Grey’s Anatomy? Well if so, their job here is simple: snag this song as quickly as you can. Not to slight the song by offering it up to a once-great show and a show that I’ve never understood the popularity of, but the song’s just a very uplifting, emotive song. I mean, how can it not be with the chorus: “Every day we wake up, we choose love, choose life and we try.”
