After listening to the Coup’s “My Favorite Mutiny” pretty much all yesterday (on which the Roots’ Black Thought guests), it’s fitting that today is filled with more Roots. Stephen Colbert is doing this week’s shows from Philadelphia and yesterday his house band was the Roots (who also just did Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars fundraiser). Not since Robert Schneider debuted his song “Stephen, Stephen” has the Colbert Report seen this level of musicianocity.
