OMG OMG OMG. Today’s been a rather lame day what with server problems, last minute projects due soon and, oh right, all the taxes I owe that are a great deal more than I have in my bank. But there are a few good things that have happened amid all the misfortune. That MMJ show announcement is great, but I’m most excited for this new Wolf Parade track that Stereogum just posted.

In that Pitchfork interview I linked to earlier today, Britt Daniels of Spoon recalled listening to Robbers on High Street and remarking “is this what people think we sound like?” I wonder if he’ll have a similar reaction once he reads all the Spoon comparisons the instrumentals on “Call it a Ritual” are sure to net Wolf Parade. The song’s a great one through and through; now if only I could catch the band live before they eventually explode into a myriad of “side-projects.”
