In my list of bands that need a live DVD, Of Montreal rank pretty highly. Well it looks like the masses of the world will be able to enjoy the wild, clothing-optional shows of Of Montreal in the comfort of their own homes. Of Montreal guitarist the Late B.P. Helium just shared on the E6 forums a little tidbit of information on its status: “We are working on a DVD. Hopefully it will be out this fall. The last L.A. shows were recorded and will be a part of it..”

Woo! It should be noted that a fall release puts it near the street date for Of Montreal’s newest album, Skeletal Lamping. In anticipation of the record, here’s one of my favorite recordings of any of their songs, “Feminine Effects” recorded on Minnesota Public Radio.
