While Spank Rock’s appearance with Santogold wasn’t exactly a surprise, it was still a highlight. She’d been busting her butt in the hot sun and wind, so it was only fair that he come lend a hand — not that she needed it, mind you. She and Diplo (who somehow managed to make messing up completely endearing) had the crowd wrapped around her finger the whole time she was on stage. Mix in a few Public Enemy-meets-the-British-royal-guard-style dancers and you’ve got yourself a party that only SXSW can deliver.
