By the time SXSW rolled around, I had kind of forgotten who we had playing Hot Freaks! It seemed like so long ago that we were begging, bribing and borrowing bands to play. As a funny side effect of that, it seemed like every time I looked at our lineup, I hit my head and said “No way! We’ve got Blitzen Trapper?!” I was insanely glad that I finally got to catch them. As great as Wild Mountain Nation was to your ears, that’s how great they were live.
